Varanese is hosting a Sean Minor Wine Dinner on Tuesday, September 19th with a reception at 6:30pm and dinner at 7:00pm. The event will feature six creative courses expertly paired with different varietals from the award-winning winery and also include special Guest Speaker Larry Sobel of Sean Minor Family of Wines.

The cost of the dinner is $65 per person (plus tax & gratuity). Reservations are required and can be made by calling 502-899-9904 or emailing

The menu was created by the Varanese team led by Chef Erik Abraham and will consist of:

First Course
Sean Minor Four Bears Sauvignon Blanc, California
Szechuan Shrimp and Pork Kentucky Limestone Bibb Lettuce Wrap
Filled with Bamboo Shoots and Chiles
Topped with Pickled Carrots, Cucumbers, and Sriracha Aioli

Second Course
Sean Minor Four Bears Chardonnay Central Coast
Grilled Avocado and Frisee Salad
Topped with Artichoke Hearts, Toasted Hazelnuts, and Confit Tomatoes
With a Burnt Lemon Vinaigrette

Third Course
Point North Pinot Noir, Oregon
Pinot Braised Duck Leg Fricassee
With Wild Mushrooms, Roasted Corn and Pea Tendrils

Fourth Course
Sean Minor Pinot Noir, Robert’s Road Vineyard
Fried Lamb Neck Ravioli with San Marzano Red Sauce
And Basil Pesto Topped with Shaved Beemster Cheese

Chili Dusted Bison Strip Steak
Served over Butternut Squash, Smoked Bacon, and Brussels Sprout Hash
